However, a change of scenery can sometimes have a positive impact on succeeding as a group. One of the key benefits of holding a meeting in the Olo Center setting is the ability to focus on the essentials. In today's digital age, we are often bombarded with a constant flow of information, making it challenging to concentrate on the task at hand. A meeting in a more natural environment can really be a way to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with oneself and the group, leading to more meaningful conversations and decisions.

Creative spaces

Olo Center was once a school that has now been renovated with respect for its history. The dining room, or "Ruokasali" as we call it in Finnish, is where the children used to have their meals, while the conference room and studio are located in the former classrooms. The intention of learning and gathering in these spaces has remained the same, but it has taken on a different form. We are happy to witness the story of the building continuing, and to see the groups getting familiar with it and redefining it to fit their specific needs. 💚

The accommodation rooms are located in the other part of the building, which used to be dedicated to teachers' and other individual work spaces.

In between the accommodation spaces, you can also find charming smaller areas that are inviting you to sit down and breathe. The balcony upstairs, as well as the glass porch and small reading nook downstairs, are perfect spaces for mini meetings and creative breaks.

Take a break and seek inspiration from the nature

Olo Center is pleasantly secluded, providing a peaceful atmosphere free from disruptive traffic or mechanical noises. The front yard is sheltered from wind, allowing for a gentle breeze to brush against your skin as you stroll through the garden. The surrounding forests and lakes provide ample opportunities for deep relaxation and self-reflection - both crucial factors in achieving success at work. Whether you prefer to take a break indoors or outdoors, you are sure to find a tranquil environment at Olo.

Space for the mind to wander

Positive feedback from previous working groups at Olo has highlighted the space's ability to provide a sense of freedom. The calm and spacious surroundings have lead our guests to a more open-minded approach to the meeting's topics. We believe that the feeling of freedom can lead to more creative ideas and innovative solutions, as participants are not bound by traditional thinking patterns. This is also what we have experienced ourselves many times when deciding on the location for our own team meeting at Olo.
