In Olo Center we trust you to be aware of or consult us of the risks that are involved with the activity you’ve chosen and how to properly treat and handle the equipment you’re renting.

The Essentials of Safety

  • Everyone renting a kayak, canoe or a SUP board must be able to swim

  • Always wear a life vest when paddling

  • Always wear a helmet when cycling

Use of the Equipment

  • Before use check the condition of the equipment you’re renting

  • Inform the staff of any malfunctions or lacks

  • Return the rented equipment to it’s original place cleaned from sand and dirt

  • Inform the staff of any potential damage caused to the rented equipment

Instructions

Kayaks

Includes

  • The Kayak, paddle, life vest, spray deck, sponge, phone cover and map

Guidelines

  • Always use a spray deck and a life vest when paddling

  • Carry the kayak holding it from it’s core not the ropes on the deck

  • Avoid shallow and rocky areas as those can cause damage to the kayak

    • Pull the skeg and/or the rudder up during shallow sections and when going ashore

Before use

  • Pick a kayak that is suitable for your size

  • Adjust the pedals and the seat properly

After use

  • Make sure that the rudder is fastened up on the deck of the kayak and/or the skeg is pulled up inside the kayak

SUP boards

Includes

  • SUP board with the skeg and the ankle strap, paddle, life vest, phone cover and map

Guidelines

  • Paddle sitting down or kneeling during shallow and/or rocky sections

  • Pay extra caution and avoid stones and other factors that could harm either you or the SUP board when going ashore

Before use

  • Check that the skeg is properly fastened on the bottom of the SUP board

  • Attach your ankle strap to the SUP board

  • Adjust the paddle to proper length

Rental terms and conditions:

If the rental object is damaged or lost due to mishandling by the person who has rented it, they are responsible to cover the costs. Please make sure your insurances are valid. The rental gear is returned cleaned.
